צצ (Tsadik Tsadik / PP) (2014)

The work has been presented in the Tel Aviv Museum as part of the international show Host & Guest (curator Steven Madoff )

The work includes two images of a painting, which has been scanned, printed and mounted into a light box. The images are a photograph of a newspaper clipping, which hung on both sides of a window. One side was photographed in 2012 and the other in 2014. Since the clipping has been photographed in front of the light, it also reveals the image on the other side. Both images depict two different scenes, which occurred simultaneously, and have been merged into one image. One of the images shows an Israeli family receiving a coffin holding the corpse of their son, a soldier captured and killed during military action, and the other image shows a group of men who were formerly active in the battle grounds being released from prison following a political deal - hostages in return for a body.

The title of the work PP (in Hebrew - the letters ZZ) refers to the combination - Painting Photography - the technique used for the work, as well as to the acronym Justice Justice (in Hebrew - Zedek Zedek). The work deals with exchange and with the relations of representation versus historical truths.
